Andrew Springate is chief marketing officer for Dr Pepper Snapple Group (NYSE: DPS). In this role, he leads the brand management, activation, media and entertainment, sponsorships and travel/event services functions for a company with more than 50 beverage brands and nearly $6.5 billion in annual sales.
Andrew has held numerous roles in marketing, brand management and sales over the course of more than 20 years in the packaged food and beverage industries. Prior to his promotion to CMO in June 2017, he served for three years as senior vice president of sales and general manager within DPS’s Beverage Concentrates business. He joined DPS (then part of Cadbury Schweppes plc) in 2000 as director of marketing and worked his way up through numerous leadership roles in brand marketing and innovation, becoming senior vice president of marketing in 2008 and senior vice president of marketing, innovation and strategic planning four years later.
He began his career as a district sales manager for Frito-Lay before taking a role at The Coca-Cola Company as brand manager for Sprite.
Andrew received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School. He lives in Allen, Texas, with his wife and three daughters.
